I can’t think of a more decadent combination than cherries and chocolate, can you? If you love this flavor combination as much as I do, then Braided Cherry & Chocolate Pastry is the recipe for you.

To make these, start by making the cherry filling. Roll out some puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface until it is 12 inches long. Cut strips of pastry and place cherry filling in the center. Criss cross the dough over the filling. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes and that’s it! A tasty flavor sensation in under 1 hour.

What is turbinado sugar?

Alora Leger

Brown sugar is better to use in this recipe because theres already too much sweetness from the cherries and chocolate.

Substitued the water for milk instead to keep the taste strong.
