4 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp Olive oil extra virgin
1½ tbsp Maple syrup pure
¼ tsp Salt
Black pepper freshly ground, to taste
For the Salad
2 tbsp Maple balsamic dressing
½ cup Quinoa cooked
½ Pears large, diced
2 tbsp Pecans chopped
2 tbsp Shallots chopped
2 tbsp Dried cherries or cranberries
2–3 cups Baby spinach or enough to fill the jar
1-quart size (32 oz) Mason jar

Steps to make Quinoa, Pear & Spinach Jar Salad

Prepare dressing

In a mixing bowl, whisk 4 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar with 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1½ tablespoons of maple syrup, ¼ teaspoon of salt and some freshly ground black pepper and combine well.

Layer mason jar

Begin with 2 tablespoons of the prepared dressing at the base of the mason jar then top with ½ cup of cooked quinoa and then layer with diced pear, 2 tablespoons of chopped pecans, then 2 tablespoons of chopped shallot, followed by 2 tablespoons of dried cherries or cranberries and finally fill the jar with 2-3 cups of baby spinach.

Refrigerate

Seal jar and store in the fridge until ready to eat.

Serve

Pour ingredients into a salad serving bowl, toss and enjoy!
