These Buttery Pumpkin Mashed Potatoes are an amazing Thanksgiving side dish. Rich, smooth and creamy, the added pumpkin gives extra color and great flavor to these mashed potatoes. These mashed potatoes can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 days. Simply reheat gently before serving.

To make these potatoes, start by cooking potatoes. Add salt and simmer until tender. Drain well, and in the same saucepan, melt butter in milk over moderate heat. Add pumpkin puree. Mash the potatoes into a bowl using a ricer and mix in the pumpkin mixture. Season with salt and pepper and serve to a crowd!
