2 tbsp Olive oil
1 tsp Oregano
2 sprigs Rosemary chopped
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
For creamy Italian dressing:
½ cup Mayonnaise gluten-free
¼ cup Milk
2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
¼ tsp Dried Italian seasoning
¼ tsp Sugar
1 clove Dried garlic crushed
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
For green salad:
2 cups Mixed greens of choice
1 Avocado sliced
10 Cherry tomatoes

Grilled Chicken Salad with Creamy Dressing – perfectly grilled juicy chicken, sweet cherry tomatoes, creamy avocado, mixed greens, and Italian dressing make for a scrumptious salad. This simple salad is perfect for lunches, dinners, or packed up and taken on a picnic.   

My family loves this salad – it is full of healthy ingredients. But I think the secret to this salad’s success is the dressing. It’s the creamy Italian dressing that really makes this salad shine. It has the tang of a traditional Italian dressing but with a smooth creaminess that makes it more decadent. This homemade dressing is also packed with Italian herbs and so easy to make. I like to use a good old-fashioned way – just shake it in a mason jar. The rest is simple to make too. Grill the chicken and slice it. Assemble the salad in your favorite salad bowl. To serve, place grilled chicken on a plate, add the green salad and pour the dressing over the top and enjoy!

Steps to make Grilled Chicken Salad with Creamy Dressing


Grill chicken


On a hot grill or grill pan, place 4 pieces of chicken. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano, chopped rosemary, salt and black pepper to taste. Flip and repeat. Grill until no longer pink and cooked through.


Make dressing


In a mason jar, combine ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup milk, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon sugar, 1 clove crushed garlic, salt and black pepper to taste. Screw the lid and shake vigorously to mix.


Assemble salad


In a large salad bowl, combine mixed greens of choice, 1 sliced avocado, and 10 cherry tomatoes.



Serve the chicken with mixed green salad and creamy Italian dressing. Enjoy!
