1 Apples cored and thinly sliced
2 handfuls Arugula
2 tsp Mayonnaise
1 tsp English mustard optional
1 Sweet potatoes baked wedges, to serve, optional

If you love burgers, then you will adore these Pork & Apple Burgers! They are like sausage burgers and they make a great alternative to beef burgers. These burgers are really quick and easy to make which makes them a perfect midweek meal. They taste super delicious too.

Start by dividing sausage meat into four portions and shape them into patties. Fry the patties until brown all over and cooked through. Toast burger buns and assemble the burgers with onion marmalade, apple slices, rocket, mayonnaise and mustard (if using). Serve with sweet potato fries and enjoy!

Make the burgers

Divide 300 grams sausage meat into four equal portions. Shape each one into a patty.

Cook the burgers

Heat oil in a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat. Cook the burgers for 10-12 minutes, flipping occasionally to ensure even cooking on each side until the patties are golden brown.

Toast buns

Cut each of the buns in half and toast them until brown.

Assemble the burgers

Spread a teaspoon of onion marmalade on the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Place the burger patties on the buns and top with apple slices, rocket, mayonnaise and mustard. Place the bun lids on top.

Serve

Serve these burgers with a side of sweet potato fries.
