Baileys Poke Cake
This Baileys Poke Cake is a great way to use up that bottle of Baileys that has been hanging around since Christmas! As you’re probably aware, Baileys is an Irish alcoholic beverage which is flavored with cream, cocoa, and Irish whiskey. It is a perfect cake to make for St Patrick’s Day due to its Irish connection!
This cake is really easy to make too because it uses a box chocolate cake mix. While the cake bakes, make a filling from sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, and Baileys. When the cake cools slightly, poke holes all over using the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour over the filling and refrigerate before frosting with a Baileys, cocoa powder, vanilla, salt and sugar frosting.
To make Baileys Poke Cake, you will need the following ingredients:

My husband was eyeing me down when I poured 1/4 of a cup of our baileys into the cake mix, he thought it would be very distinct that there is alcohol in the cake but after it was done it became his favorite and now we buy baileys just for this dessert!
Did this recipe with a friend for V-day really tasty and we're both chocolate and bailey lovers so this was a match made in heaven :)
Saw this recipe and read that it had baileys in it.. Baileys in a cake? I thought, who knew it would turn out to be the BOMB, easily my new favorite along with the caramel mountain top cheesecake..mm gets me drooling just thinking about it!
WOW this was realllly difficult to perfect, the first time I poured a bit too much baileys and the second time too much cocoa powder.. but third time is the charm as they say, came out exactly as intended.
Saving this page for future recipes that I want to make, everything on here is absolutely delicious.
Making this was challenging for me but it turned out super good, very proud that I managed to finish this and not mess anything up.
Love the dessert but way too much chocolate in one cake for me, I like mine simple like the bacardi rum bundt cake.
Could not perfect this cake sadly, it was edible but just too difficult to make so I'll be sticking with something a tad easier, cheesecake here I come.
Brought this to work and told some of my close co-workers that there is baileys in it-- everyone thought they would get drunk so the cake was gone in under 10 minutes lol, awesome recipe.
I made this for ST.Patricks day and making it again today this time to leave a review about how amazingly good tasting this cake is, I also recommend trying the raspberry almond poke cake if you liked this one but you're not a big fan of chocolate.
Love the taste of this bailey cake, never knew using alcohol with cake would turn out decently, I figured that there would be some bad after taste but thankfully there is none of that.
Very tasteful but takes a really long time to make.
Best poke cake I've ever had, first time making it and it was absolutely delightful, can't imagine anything beating this cake yet!
Took a while to make but was worth it, added some chocolate coins on the top of the cake and caramel dressing.
Perfect for birthdays just make sure the person is above the age of 20! Lol just kidding, you can't taste the alcohol at all, really good baileys cake.
Well done! Thanks for sharing recipe!
