This Broccoli Chicken Divan is a delicious chicken casserole with broccoli and a creamy sauce. I love the buttery bread crumb topping. There are never any leftovers when I make this, but if you don’t get through the whole casserole, it tastes delicious the next day when reheated. Simply place the leftovers in the microwave, or reheat them in the oven.
To make this delicious casserole, start by placing broccoli in a large pot of boiling water and blanch until tender crisp. Drain and set aside. In a separate bowl, combine Cheddar cheese, milk, condensed soup, sour cream, and seasonings. Stir in the broccoli and chicken and transfer to a casserole dish. Mix melted butter and bread crumbs in a small bowl. Top the casserole with the remaining cheese and bread crumb topping. Bake until the bread crumbs are lightly browned, and the mixture is bubbly and hot and serve with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
