Steps to make Gluten Free Cheesy Sausage Zucchini Rice Skillet

Cook the sausage

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan or skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage until it is lightly browned.

Sauté the onions and garlic salt

Add the onion and garlic salt to the sausage and cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion is tender.

Stir in the rice

Add the rice to the pan and cook for about 1 minute.

Add the chicken broth

Pour in the chicken broth. Stir well and break up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan - these are full of flavor.

Bring to a boil and simmer

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes until the liquid has been fully absorbed.

Add the remaining ingredients

Fluff up the rice with a fork. Add the zucchini and both cheeses. Stir well until cheese melts into the rice. Then add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and stir until fully melted.

Spoon the cheesy sausage zucchini rice into bowls and serve immediately.

To be honest I didn't really enjoy the meat with the tasted very odd and cheaply made. The rest of the recipes ingridents were amazing so I'll play around with it a bit more but the sausage is a big no for me.
