There’s almost not an ingredient left out in this Seven-Layered Salad recipe. Layers of basic salad ingredients with Romaine lettuce then frozen peas and yellow bell peppers, grape tomatoes, celery, scallions and a yogurt-mayonnaise with vinegar, garlic powder, salt and freshly ground black pepper salad dressing poured over and finally topped with sprinkles of shredded cheese and bacon bits. Sure is one way to enjoy a salad!
To make Seven-Layered Salad, you will need the following ingredients:
In a large salad bowl, place lettuce in the bottom and layer peas, bell pepper, tomatoes, celery and scallions on top.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk yogurt, mayonnaise, vinegar, garlic powder, salt, pepper and sugar to taste, until smooth. Pour a layer of salad dressing, evenly, over the salad.
Top with sprinkles of shredded cheese, basil and crumbled bacon.
Serve room temperature or chilled from the refrigerator.
