Ingredients for Peach Marmalade (No Pectin)

Steps to make Peach Marmalade (No Pectin)

  1. 1

    Prepare peaches

    20

Gently drop peaches into a pot of boiling water and boil for 1 minute. Remove peaches from the hot water and run under cold water to cool. Slip off the skins and use a small knife to remove any extra pieces. Cut in half, remove pits and slice or chop into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare oranges

    10

Prepare orange zest and set aside. Peel oranges and cut the inside into small pieces, about the amount of 1 cup.

  3. 3

    Prepare marmalade mixture

    3

In a large pot, use a potato mash or your hands and mix the peaches, zest, orange pieces, sugar and lemon juice, together. You may leave some peach chunks.

  4. 4

    Make marmalade

    20

Bring large pot and marmalade mixture to a boil, over medium-high heat, then lower to medium and boil on medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking at the bottom, for about 15-22 minutes. The amount of time will depend on your choice in texture as well as the speed of the boil and size of the pot.

  5. 5

    Adjust flavors

    1

Adjust flavors to taste. Some prefer more lemon juice or more sugar.

  6. 6

    Store

    5

Pour prepared marmalade in washed jars, allow to cool before covering tightly. Store in the fridge.
