Sweet Chili Dogs recipe
No matter what I am cooking on the BBQ, I always throw a few of these Sweet Chili Dogs on the grill as an extra little treat. When I make these, I follow this recipe for oven cooking but I finish the sausages on the grill at the very end. The caramelized onions always go down a treat with friends and family.
To make these, simply take the following five ingredients: sausages, onions, sweet chili sauce, tomato purée and hot dog buns. I use sweet chili sausages if I can get them. Cook the sausages in the oven. As the sausages cook, fry the onions and add sweet chili sauce and tomato puree. Assemble the hot dogs by splitting the buns and adding a spoonful of caramelized onions, a sausage and another spoon of onions on top.
To make the Sweet Chilli Dogs, you will need the following ingredients:

Thank you Jeff for another perfect meat recipe! I follow everything you make.
Mmmm these were some bomb freaking chili dogs!!
Served these for dinner and then made sugar cookies as dessert, you guys got the best recipes on this site!!
Best type of sausage to take to a grill out and fun to make with the kids too.
Added a bit of sundried tomatos and pickles relish to the inside of mine, gave it a good amount of flavor.
Taste kinda like a meatball with chili which is super good, might just make this with pasta instead next time and ditch the hot dog bun.
Love the fact that there is basically nothing to add which means its affordable, please make more meals like this with little to no ingridents.
Fantastic lunch my kids gobbled two of them up super fast and were happy with the taste :)
Great recipe I actually made these along with some cheesy garlic bread as an extra side dish.
Obsessed with the taste of these chili dogs also got some french fries to eat with them.
I didn't really like the taste too much I think it was too sweet and not the best combination.
Thank you for sharing this it was super flavorful and delicious will be making it again for sure.

Sweet and salty is the best kind of lunch to make with a side of beer.
