Homemade Yogurt in the Oven – is a simple recipe that requires only two ingredients and delivers a fresh and healthy breakfast or snack to your table. And you don’t even need a yogurt maker or Instant Pot.

I’m trying to avoid as much processed food as possible, and so, I opt for eating more whole foods. And that is why I love making my own yogurt at home. And when I do, I’m in control. Besides, it tastes extra fresh, smooth, thick and creamy. To get the most nutrition, I use whole milk and organic plain Greek yogurt for my starter.

    Set an oven to its lowest temperature, about 170 °F, and let it heat up for 10 minutes. Then turn the oven heat off, but leave the light on.

    In a heavy pot over medium heat, heat 1 gallon whole milk, stirring often, until an instant-read thermometer shows 185 °F.

    Cool the milk in a cold water bath to 115 °F.

    Mix one cup milk and yogurt

    In a bowl, mix 1 cup of cooled milk and 1 cup plain yogurt and stir to combine.
