Mexican Hot Chocolate Pie
This Mexican Hot Chocolate Pie is such a delicious chilled dessert to make for your Cinco de Mayo party this year. It boasts all the flavors that make Mexican hot chocolate different to normal hot chocolate – namely cinnamon for spiciness and cayenne pepper for heat!
Start this cake by mixing crushed graham crackers with butter, sugar and salt. Bake until golden. Make the pie filling by mixing milk and egg yolks with sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and salt and bringing it to a boil before adding butter, vanilla and chocolate chips. Top with a whipped marshmallow topping and serve chilled. Yum!

Never made anything like this in my life so going to try it out today.
Great recipe thanks so much for taking the time to share it with us.
Mexican hot pie? Well I'll be damned.
I swapped a few things around in this like the graham crackers I used normal vanilla crackers instead, dark chocolate was switched to milk chocolate and then I didn't add the pepper cause It didn't feel right.
Needed a tad more sugar and cinnamon but other than that fine.
Such a unique dish I'm astonished I've never even tried it before!
Takes a while to make it but it's worth.
A spicy cake isn't really my kinda thing but my Mexican boyfriend and ma were quite happy so i guess it's gonna stick around in my book until I get the taste for it too.
Okay so I just read the ingridents...what the heck? It looks amazing though.
Kinda expensive to make this but it was worth it, totally different and delicious dessert.
Why is there cayenne pepper in this?
Of course it would be Jelena with the most unique freaking dessert on the planet!
No thanks I think I'll stick with the churro apple pie and leave this for my crazy kids.
Did NOT like the pepper in this at all and I know that's the point but I will not be adding it the second time around.
Surprised that this was actually good like..graham crackers--sugar and then CAYENNE PEPPERS?! Looool.
Certainly weird tasting cause the pepper but it's not bad at all!
Wonderful dessert for any time of the week or even an event/birthday party though you'd have to make two cause the cake is kinda small.
Yummy-yummy! Chocola-a-ate!!!
