1 head Green cabbage about 2½ pounds, thinly sliced, core discarded
1 tbsp Olive oil extra virgin
1 tbsp Unsalted butter
1½ tsp Kosher Salt
½ tsp Black pepper freshly ground
½ tbsp Apple cider vinegar plus additional to taste
1 tbsp Fresh thyme chopped optional

Steps to make Sautéed Cabbage

Heat oil and butter

In a large sauté pan or heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter and heat until butter melts.

Add cabbage and seasoning

Add a head of thinly sliced cabbage and season with 1 ½ teaspoons of kosher salt and ½ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Sauté, tossing occasionally, for 10-15 minutes until cabbage is softened and slightly brown.

Add apple cider vinegar

Remove skillet from the heat and pour in ½ a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Stir through and season with salt and pepper as needed.

Garnish

Season with sprinkles of fresh thyme for serving, if you wish.

Serve

Serve warm!
