Savory Crispy Cheese Cookies recipe

Just seven ingredients make up these quick and easy Savory Crispy Cheese Cookies.  Addictive as they are delicious, these melt-in-your-mouth cookies are made with Cheddar cheese and spiced with white pepper. They are cheesy, buttery, crispy, crumbly and perfect. Cut the cookies into seasonal shapes and add them to your holiday cookie box this year.

To make these cookies, start off by mixing together the flour, ground white pepper, and salt. Next, add in the butter and use your fingers to rub the mixture together until it resembles breadcrumbs. Then, add in the egg yolk and grated Cheddar cheese and bring the mixture together into a dough. Roll the dough out and cut out the cookies using your favorite cookie cutters. Arrange the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and place in the preheated oven. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cookies cool on a wire cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!

    Combine flour, pepper and salt

    To a large bowl, add 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons ground white pepper, and ½ teaspoon salt and mix together.

    Add in 1 stick cubed butter and use your fingers to rub the mixture together until it resembles breadcrumbs.

    Add in 1 beaten egg yolk and knead the mixture into a dough.

    Add in 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese and mix well.
