And if you love chocolate crinkles, you are going to go gaga for these lemon crinkles. Simple. Sweet. Lemony. For extra lemon flavor, I use lemon two ways: lemon juice and lemon zest. These cookies would be great as easy homemade holiday food gifts or to bake up over the weekend and eat.

These crowd-pleasing cookies are a breeze to make, and you probably have most of the ingredients in your kitchen. So, when the mood strikes for cookies, give this recipe a go. To make these cookies, cream butter and sugar and then whip in all wet ingredients. Next, stir in dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Chill the dough, and then roll it into balls and coat in powdered sugar. Bake and enjoy!

Heat oven and prepare baking sheets

Preheat the oven to 350 °F and grease or line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream butter and sugar

In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, cream ½ cup softened butter and 1 cup sugar.

Add in ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, and lemon zest from 1 lemon. Whisk the mixture well to fully incorporate.

Combine dry ingredients

In a bowl, mix together 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon baking powder, and ⅛ teaspoon baking soda.
