3 lbs Chicken wings drumettes and flats separated, tips removed, patted dry
Kosher Salt to taste
Black pepper freshly ground, to taste
½ cup Honey
½ cup Soy sauce low-sodium
¼ cup Rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp Butter
4 cloves Garlic minced
2 Chipotle peppers minced

    Sweet and Spicy Sticky Wings


    These are the ultimate Sweet and Spicy Sticky Wings in baked wings. Perfectly seasoned, baked in the oven until crisp, and then smothered in a bright and spicy sauce, these sticky chicken wings are a crowd-pleasing appetizer and are perfect for a game-day weekend. A combination of spicy and smoky chipotle and warming ginger with sweet honey takes the sauce over the top. So finger-licking good!  

    One of the great things about this sticky wing recipe is that it is so easy to make. Start by seasoning the chicken wings with salt and black pepper and baking them until crisp. While the chicken is cooking, make the sticky sauce. Combine the honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, butter, garlic, chipotle peppers, ginger, and a pinch of salt and black pepper in a saucepan. Simmer the sauce over low heat until thickened. Once the wings are done cooking, toss them with the sticky sauce until fully coated. Serve garnished with green onions, and enjoy!

    Steps to make Sweet and Spicy Sticky Wings


    Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet


    Preheat the oven to 425 °F and spray a large-rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray.


    Prepare chicken wings


    Place 3 pounds chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.




    Bake for about 45 minutes until the chicken wings are cooked through and crisp.


    Make sticky wing sauce


    Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine ½ cup honey, ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce, ¼ cup rice wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons butter, 4 minced garlic cloves, 2 minced chipotle peppers, 1 tablespoon minced ginger, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook, whisking occasionally, over low heat until thick and syrupy, about 15 minutes.


    Coat wings with sauce


    Place the baked chicken wings in a large bowl and toss with the prepared sticky sauce to coat.



    Serve these sticky chicken wings garnished with green onions.
