To make Apple Crisp Stuffed Baked Apples, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat oven to 400 °F.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, sugar, salt and cinnamon together.
Cut the butter into the dry ingredients and using a pastry knife or your hands, combine until mixture is crumbly. Set aside.
Peel and chop half of the apples. (4 apples)
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, sauté the chopped apples, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon for 5-8 minutes until apples have softened.
Slice off the tops of the remaining apples (4 apples) and use a spoon to scoop out the flesh, forming a “bowl” for the filling.
Stuff apple “bowls” with the sautéed apple mixture from the saucepan and top generously with the crumble topping.
Place stuffed apples on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until crumble topping is golden and crispy.
