Pizzas can be sweet too and with this Peach and Prosciutto Pizza we’ve done just that. Using a homemade or store bought pizza dough top your pizza with 3 cheeses, fresh peaches, with the skins still on, slices of prosciutto and garnish with drizzles of balsamic reduction and freshly chopped basil leaves.
You can replace the peaches with mango or nectarine for the same, deliciously sweet effect.
To make Peach and Prosciutto Pizza, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the pizza stone in the oven at 450 °F. Let rest for 30 minutes and assemble pizza during last 10 minutes.
In a large, deep skillet over medium heat cook and simmer the balsamic vinegar and honey for 15 minutes, until reduced to under ½ cup. Using a silicone spatula, stir occasionally during the first 5 minutes and then constantly for the last 10 minutes.
Lightly dust a 14-inch parchment paper with flour and roll out the dough into 12½-inch round shape.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the olive oil and crushed garlic and then brush, evenly, over the top of the pizza. Season with salt and pepper, lightly.
Evenly layer the sliced prosciutto over the pizza crust. You may overlap pieces, if you wish.
Spoon small, dollop portions of the ricotta cheese over the pizza and sprinkle mozzarella cubes and Asiago cheese too.
Place peach slices, evenly over the topped pizza.
Bake in preheated oven, on the pizza stone, for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
Garnish with sprinkles of freshly chopped basil and drizzles of the honey balsamic reduction.
Cut pizza in slices and enjoy yours served warm.
