Start by cooking the spaghetti. As it cooks, start preparing the sauce by sautéing mushrooms and green onions. Add flour and milk and cook while stirring until the sauce starts to thicken. Add tuna and peas before combining the sauce with the cooked spaghetti. Transfer to a casserole dish and top with Parmesan and breadcrumbs. Bake until golden and bubbling. Enjoy!
To make Tuna Tetrazzini Casserole, you will need the following ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Lightly grease a 2½-3-quart casserole dish.
Follow the package directions to cook the spaghetti. Drain and set to one side.
Melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Add the mushrooms and saute, stirring, until mushrooms are browned and tender. Add green onions and cook for one more minute.
Sprinkle in 4 tablespoons of flour and stir until fully combined. Gradually pour in 2 cups of milk. Cook while stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in the flaked tuna and peas.
Mix the spaghetti with the tuna sauce. Stir until well combined.
Transfer the spaghetti to the prepared casserole. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese over the top.
In a small pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Toss the bread crumbs with the melted butter and sprinkle them over the top of the casserole.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes until it is bubbling and gold on top.
