Cinnamon Swirl Topped Apple Cake
This Cinnamon Swirl Topped Apple Cake is a super impressive cake to make which packs a cinnamon flavor punch! I love how the topping has a swirl shape. It looks so appealing. It is definitely my favorite cake to make in cold weather too.
I start making this cake by preparing the dough for the lid. Then I prepare the filling by mixing apples, flour, cinnamon and brown sugar together. To make the spiral lid, I spread butter on a rectangle of dough and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the top. I cut it into 1-inch strips. Roll one of the strips into a spiral and gradually add strips of dough to it until the whole cake is covered.

Roll one of the strips into a spiral. Place the spiral on top of the apples in the middle. Repeat with the remaining strips of dough until you don’t have any more.

I really recommend to only use red apples don't even think of adding green unless you want a sour taste to your cake.
It's great but I think the caramel is a bit too much, when it gets hard it doesn't taste right.
I baked this to perfection for my nieces birthday instead of a white cake cause when she first had this she really liked it :)

Ended up being sort've dry on it's own I'd really recommend adding a glaze.
Too sweet In my opinion I liked the pull apart apple bread a lot more not too overbaring with the sugar.
Looks just as amazing as it taste though mine didn't look anything like the picture way too hard to make it fancy haha.
